Alone in the Shadows
She sits alone in the shadows of the night
tears of sadness filling her eyes
If only she knew there wasn't any time left
to say all those goodbye's and not have any regrets
She stares out the window into the night sky
looking at the stars and the heavens for answers
where there is none to be found
Shadows fall across her face
as pain fills her heart
She rises from her darkened world
and sleeps on a makeshift cot
If only time could have held them
he would be with her now
but sadly he was taken
For reasons not yet clear
He watches from the heaven's
and sees her sad tears
while she sleeps restlessly
he is always near to fill her dreams
with the love they once shared
He whispers to her softly
don't be afraid my dear
we will be together one day
let me take away your fears
Let sun shine brightly in your eyes

Nature
As I look out my back porch, I see
all of the beauty that nature has to offer.
As I look to the left there is a bird feeder with beautiful birds.
Some have yellow backs, some are not so colorful, but some are.
Oh look it’s a hummingbird look at all of those colors.
They fly around with such grace and ease.
Oh the beauty that awaits.
Looking to the right I see that spring is in full bloom and the baby pups
are now walking everywhere and they are just as beautiful and their mom.
Their mom is rolling in the sand enjoying the nice breezy spring day.
Now there is a bee buzzing by knowing that spring is here
it’s just flying from
flower to flower.
In front of me on the back of the property is a doe and her fawn
they are
grazing on the hay and corn that was put out for them.
We call the doe Bonnie and still have not named her fawn; maybe we will name it
Happy.
Just looking at nature is so breathtaking it is like taking medication that
really lifts you up.
There is so much nature out here looking now at the bird feeders again
there are
two brown bunny rabbits they are enjoying what the birds have dropped.
There is so much nature, too much to really talk about.
A person would just have to sit back and admire all of the beauty.
