A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I work at a hospital where I am a PBX operator.  I have been doing that for 4 years now.  It can be stressful at times and rewarding also.  But some days listening to a ringing phone for 12 hours does push the patience level a bit. :-)

I love writing poetry, even though sometimes it is a bit sad, I still think it is a means to dealing with things in my life. I can write about the way things should be, or maybe are for someone else; even though I may be having a difficult time. It seems to help me sometimes to just displace myself and let the words fall like they are coming from a secret place. My nickname is Breezey and I normally write under that penname at a site where I first began posting my poems on the web.

I have gone through some rough times off and on throughout the past few years, but I have always had the love and support of of a wonderful family by my side. And although my mom and dad are now gone I have a wonderful brother and sister close by, and my son David with me, so I know that one day I will be okay. I just have to learn to listen to them when they try to help. I also have a couple of loving friends to walk beside me, and for this I am very grateful to them all.

Both of my parents have passed away; my mom, April 9, 1995, and my dad on Nov 3, 1999. They meant the world to me and I love them dearly.  I have a tremendous void in my life without them here.

THEY, whoever they are, say that time heals all wounds, but I only believe that it lessens the pain a tiny bit, it never heals the wounds completely. I have experienced this in dealing with my parents' deaths as well as a few other aspects in life.

I don't have any recent pictures of myself  but here are a couple of snapshots that will give you an ideal of who what I am all about.....

I collect bears.  All kinds, shapes and sizes.  (Don't ya like the border over there?  I thought it was cute :-) I also inherited a small elephant collection   My sister, brother and I all have a portion of my mother's wonderful elephant collection.

I enjoy listening to the older soft rock tunes, and melodies. I love the beach at night, but do not go as often as I would like to, but in time, I think I will get back to being able to do that.  I hope.
